VSPV offers an end-to-end solution from design & manufacturing of storage facilities which includes Unloading pump and compressor, storage tank, transfer pump or boosting pump water bath type vaporizers, Pressure regulating skid, buffer tank, Interconnection pipes, electrical cabling, and instrument cables

Components of Ammonia Storage Turnkey System

1. Unloading Pump and Compressor

Unloading Pump

  • Used to Transfer liquid ammonia from the road tanker into the storage tank safely
  • Designed to handle ammonia’s corrosive and pressurized nature.
  • Helps in smooth unloading even when the tanker pressure is insufficient.

Compressor

  • when ammonia is in vapor form or when tanker pressure equalization is required.,Compressor is used
  • Minimizes losses and environmental release by recovering Ammonia Vapour
  • Helps to maintain proper tank pressure balance during unloading.

2. Storage Tank

  • Used for the bulk storage of Anhydrous Ammonia
  • a single-walled, refrigerated, or pressurized vessel
  • Equipped with Level gauges for monitoring liquid levels. Safety relief valves to protect against overpressure. Insulation and protective coatings to minimize product loss and corrosion. Built to international safety standards (ASME, or equivalent).
3. Transfer Pump / Boosting Pump
  • Transfers liquid ammonia from the storage tank to downstream systems.
  • Provides additional pressure when the natural flow is insufficient.
  • Makes sure the supply for vaporizers and consumption points are stable and reliable.
  • Comes with mechanical seals, cooling systems, and safety shut-offs customized for ammonia service.

4. Water Bath Type Vaporizers


This Converts liquid ammonia into gaseous ammonia for industrial use. it Operates by immersing heating coils in a water bath, which gently transfers heat to the ammonia.

  • Stable and controlled vaporization.
  • Prevents freezing or sudden temperature drops in pipelines.
  • Reliable performance even under fluctuating load conditions.
  • Designed with automatic temperature regulation and safety interlocks.

5. Pressure Regulating Skid (PRS)

It is used to control and stabilize the outlet pressure of gaseous ammonia ensuring that downstream systems (like process equipment or fuel applications) receive ammonia at usable pressure.

Our Skid includes:

  • Pressure regulators and relief valves.
  • Instrumentation (pressure transmitters and gauges).

6. Buffer Tank

it is used as an intermediate storage receiver for gaseous ammonia after vaporization.

  • Balances demand fluctuations by storing excess vapor when consumption is low and supplying it when demand spikes.
  • Prevents frequent cycling of vaporizers and pumps, therefore improving system efficiency.
  • Acts as a safety cushion in case of sudden load variations.

The stations we facilitate operates under PLC /SCADA automation.

We also design fire detection system, fire fighting system and gas leak detection system.

Robust Design

Manufactured with corrosion resistant stainless-steel (SS) plate, stainless steel (SS) seamless pipe, high quality valves, gauges and instruments.

SS Seamless Pipes and Tubes

VSPV uses only corrosion resistant stainless-steel pipes and tubes for inner tank piping and external piping to have a better aesthetics, long corrosion free, leak free and maintenance free life.

Oxygen Compatible Cleaning

Stainless steel inner tank, internal pipes, external pipes, and fittings are cleaned through a series of processes like pickling, passivation and degreasing followed by stringent quality checks with a ultraviolet (UV) lamp, which ensures superior clean environment for Oxygen storage.

Testing

Tanks undergo through a series of Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) including helium leak test to ensure robustness, long vacuum retention, leak proof and maintenance free life.

Vacuum Guarantee

Stringent helium leak test, followed by Vacuuming with latest good quality vacuum pumps provides a long vacuum retention period.

Quality Components

VSPV uses very quality time-tested cryogenic valves, safety relief valves, regulator, Thermal Relief Valves, 3-way Divertor valve, Level & Pressure gauge.

Painting & Aesthetics

Steel grit blasting to SA 2 ½ followed by a 3-coat painting process Provides resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and better aesthetics for long-term.

Flexibility

Customer can choose between perlite & super insulation or 4-Leg & 3-Leg design

PESO Approval & Site Work
